Kill the airport boredom with Solitaire.org

A man sits in an airport as the sun goes down

Have you ever been stuck at an airport waiting for your next flight with nothing to do? If you’ve finished your book, none of your friends are awake to chat to, and you just want something to help pass the time, then Solitaire.org is a great site to have up your sleeve. We have just discovered it, and it’s quickly become a firm favourite for fun little games to sink your teeth into.

Unlike many game sites and apps, Solitaire.org has an incredibly wide range of games that can be played all from the same site. You can play them in browser, meaning you’re good to go, as long as you have a phone, tablet, or laptop with you! Thanks to the airport charging stations found at most airports across the globe today, you can plug in and play without having to worry about running your battery down too – bonus!

Which games can I play on Solitaire.org?

Obviously solitaire is a classic option when it comes to card games that you can absorb hours of time into, and it’s been a favourite of travellers for centuries. With infinite outcomes, there is literally hours of fun to be had playing solitaire, and it’s one of our favourites when it comes to games to play at the airport. As the title of the site would suggest, solitaire is one of the many games you can play on Solitaire.org.

If there is a particular version of solitaire you like to play, rest assured it will be one of the options on the site – from Klondike, spider, pyramid, to golf, there are plenty of solitaire options to choose from – we actually counted over 100 different versions of the game on offer!

If you fancy a different card game then there are lots of others to pick from including Euchre, Blackjack, Rummy, and Mau Mau.

Not into cards? Don’t worry, there are still games for you!  You’ll find something to suit your taste in the Mahjong, Hidden Object, Match 3, Logic Puzzles, or word categories. There is so much on offer that there really is something for everyone.

We have just spent a solid hour playing Zuma Ball, which is great fun! Tying to use a shooter to make rows of three coloured balls before the balls reach the end of the course is always a good premise for a game, and it’s a little addictive!

We’ve bookmarked the Zuma Ball page onto our phones so it’s ready and waiting next time we need some entertainment. We think all of these games are amazing entertainment for when you’re in the airport, but really they’re perfect for any time when you find yourself waiting for something with nothing to do. Doctor’s waiting room, grocery store line, or even before a concert – getting absorbed in one of these games is a wonderful way to pass the time!
