3 Tried and Tested Child Friendly Chain Restaurants 

If you are out and about with your kids, it’s always a good idea to keep a few child friendly chain restaurants in mind. Although it’s always fantastic to support independent eateries and local spots, when you’ve got kids with you, sometimes you just need an easy option, especially if you’re by yourself. It pays to know somewhere where you know there is a great kids’ menu, somewhere that offers high chairs, and somewhere that has good accessible bathrooms with plenty of room for a buggy! Luckily, if you are in the UK, there are quite a few of these child friendly restaurants, and they can be found in most of the cities and some towns up and down the country. 

Marks and Spencer Café

You don’t usually have to go too far to find a Marks and Spencer, and many of the stores across the UK have a café inside. Some even have much larger bistros – these also fit the bill when it comes to being super child friendly. M&S café always has a kids’ meal deal on offer which comprises of a main, a side, a piece of fruit, and a drink –  there are usually sandwiches and little pizzas to choose from for the mains, and a wide range of snacks and drinks. One of the best things about M&S cafés is that highchairs are usually in plentiful supply, and there is almost always a member of staff on the floor who is there to clear tables and lend a hand to anyone who needs it. This means that if you need a hand with getting high chairs to your table, there will be someone to help. 

Pizza Express

Pizza Express is a great option when you’ve got kids with you, thanks to the fabulous kids’ menu. The kids’ menu has three courses of very child friendly food, so there will be something for even the fussiest baby, toddler, or child. Food is usually delivered to your table swiftly, and there are often colouring activity packs to keep your children entertained while they wait. A waiter will assist you with high chairs on arrival, and there is usually somewhere safe for buggies and pushchairs to be parked up while you eat. 

Wagamama

Wagamama has a wonderful kids’ menu and there is a wide selection of delicious Japanese inspired dishes for your little one to choose from. All of the kids’ meals come with specially designed kids’ chopsticks which are fun and easy to use, and there are activity packs available to explore while food is cooking. Waiters will help you with highchairs on arrival, and there is usually plenty of space to park up your buggy or pushchair. If you want to eat outside, ring ahead to check this will be an option if you need highchairs – there are some branches that don’t allow high chairs outside so it’s always best to double check before you arrive!
