Sometimes it can be hard to find a truly child-friendly pub or restaurant to enjoy a bite to eat with the whole family, but recently, we had the absolute pleasure of visiting The Ram Inn which is nestled on the border of Lancashire and West Yorkshire against a backdrop of jaw-droppingly stunning countryside. This beautiful pub is not only set in the most spectacular place, it’s also very child friendly and worth checking out if you are ever in the area.
Menus at The Ram Inn
There are a number of menus to have a look at, including a comprehensive kids’ menu which is full of delicious, and reasonably priced food. You can find all of the menus ahead of your visit on The Ram Inn website. If you book a table in advance, staff will make sure that highchairs are ready and waiting at your reserved table should you need them, and the whole inside of the pub is totally accessible for buggies thanks to the entrance ramp. These factors make it a great option for any solo mums with kids! There is also a bus stop opposite the pub if you don’t drive.
If you’re lucky enough to be in the area on a sunny day, consider sitting outside to enjoy your meal. Not only is the countryside too pretty to pass up, but there is also a lovely little kids’ play area. It’s not the most elaborate playground on the go, but it is totally fenced off making it super safe and a great way of kids’ being able to run wild and play while their accompanying grown-ups are enjoying their meal.
Beyond the little playground is a meadow where kids are free to run around and enjoy themselves in the long grass and wild flowers. They can watch the sheep and horses go about their day in the next field along, and see if they can spot one of the waterfalls in the valley in the distance. It’s amazing how long children can keep themselves entertained for in the great outdoors, and the outdoor areas at The Ram Inn are completely safe, which makes it a wonderful spot for parents and kids alike.
